Abstract

The study was a survey type of descriptive research. The major objectives of the study were as the following; To assess the perceptions of teachers and students towards the managerial performance of female principals in Public Sector Colleges. To establish how effective female principals are in carrying out their management duties at public sector colleges. To recommend possible ways to enhance the performance of female college principals of public sector colleges. Research Questions posed were: What are the perceptions of students and teachers towards the managerial performance of female principals of public sector colleges? How effective are female principals in carrying out their management duties in the colleges? What strategies can be developed to enhance the managerial performance of female principals? In Pakistan, women are struggling to come out of their traditionally assigned household roles as kitchen managers and human producing machines to that of people who can meaningfully contribute to development in various aspects of life, particularly in educational institutions and the management of human resources.
